In 2025, the beautiful little town of Penguin on Tasmania’s north-west coast celebrated a very special milestone, 150 years since it was proclaimed in 1875. The Penguin 150 sesquicentennial was a year-long celebration of community, history and everything that makes this charming coastal town so loved.

Caro’s Creative Crew was proud to be part of the celebrations. Our entertainers dressed in penguin themed gear and brought face painting, balloon twisting and glitter tattoos to the festivities, all with a very cute penguin twist.

Face painting featured adorable little penguin designs, ocean creatures, and celebratory designs fitting for such a special occasion. Balloon twisting brought penguins and sea inspired creations to life. Glitter tattoos added a sparkling touch to the celebrations that kids and adults both loved.

It was a wonderful event to be part of, a true community celebration that had so much heart. Penguin is a special place and its 150th year was marked with exactly the kind of joy, colour and community spirit it deserved.
